As a child I grew up with my mother being a primary teacher, I watched her marking work and preparing worksheet for the children in her class. I longed to be just like her! I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a teacher, just like my mom. I often asked my mom if I could mark the children’s work and used the worksheets she had prepared to role play being a teacher with my brother and sister and of course, I was always the teacher! Teaching is a great passion for me, and I feel privileged to be a Primary teacher at DBS. Dubai is a dynamic destination where I thankfully have the opportunity to make a difference to children from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Helping children to choose their pathway in life and follow their dreams and passions is truly a rewarding job. Best Moment In Teaching Working with children has given me the opportunity to enjoy so many different experiences with various year groups. When children are engaged and enjoying their learning, exploring their curiosity and inspiring each other, I like to stand back and relish the buzz that is created in the classroom. I have been lucky to witness children taking ownership over their learning and step into the role of a teacher, this is most rewarding to see as the compassion, skills and love for learning filters through on every child’s face.
