Laura Glazebrook
I grew up in Southeast London and studied Primary Education at the University of Greenwich. I then graduated in 2014 and began my teaching adventure at an outstanding school in London. It was an incredibly vibrant and diverse school; I absolutely loved my time there and learned so much. However, in 2017, the bright lights and sunshine of Dubai lured me to the UAE and I have been lucky enough to work at DBSEH ever since. The beauty of being a primary school teacher is having the opportunity to explore a little bit of everything, whilst delving into and delivering a wide range of subjects and topics. No day is ever the same and there are always laughs to be had and achievements to celebrate! It is incredibly important to me to create a warm and welcoming environment, where every child feels happy, secure and individually valued. I also hope to inspire pupils and create opportunities that foster a child’s love of learning, promote all of the 6Cs at DBSEH, as well as encourage resilience and independent thinking. I very much look forward to the new academic year and welcoming Year 4 and my new class! Best Moment In Teaching My favourite moments in teaching are often those that are unplanned - seeing a child's excitement once they have achieved a goal is always a priceless part of the job!
