KHDA Inspections & Accreditations
KHDA Inspections
Every school in Dubai is regularly inspected by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) on behalf of the Knowledge and Human Development Agency (KHDA).
The DSIB is the Dubai equivalent of UK's OFSTED whereby schools have a rigorous inspection where key performance is noted.
The report includes a summary of overall performance, highlighting key strengths and recommendations, along with more detailed analysis of areas including progress and attainment, personal and social development, teaching and assessment, curriculum, school management and relationships with parents and the community. BSO Inspection
The BSO (British Schools Overseas) inspection is a voluntary scheme for the inspection of British schools overseas, whereby schools are inspected against a common set of standards that British schools overseas can choose to adopt.
By achieving UK inspection-based approval, participating schools are able to demonstrate that they provide a British education that has similar characteristics to an education in an independent school in the UK.

BTEC
Dubai British School is an approved BTEC centre. BTEC stands for Business and Technology Education Council and is awarded by Pearson. This is a vocational qualification taken as an alternative to traditional GCSE or A-Level.
LPPA - Leading Parent Partnership Award
Dubai British School Emirates Hills are using the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) to help strengthen our school’s partnership with parents. LPPA is a national award that will provide us with a valuable school improvement tool and also give us recognition for our commitment to working with parents. We are delighted to announce that we have achieved this award in 2022!
