I began my career in education at Al Bayan Bilingual School, Kuwait, as a Nursery Teacher’s assistant. During my 10 years there I held the positions of Nursery Supervisor and Head Arabic teacher.

In expanding my line of expertise, I worked with students with Learning Disabilities at Fawzia Al Sultan Learning Institute, Kuwait, as the school’s Pre-Academic and Therapeutic Program Coordinator, then I moved with my family to Saudi Arabia.

In Riyadh, I worked for 5 years as an Arabic Culture and Language teacher at the American International School of Riyadh; and for 6 years as the K-3 coordinator and Arabic teacher at Advanced Learning Schools, an IB school.

In 2011, I moved to Dubai and since then I am working here as an Arabic teacher for non-Arabic speakers. I am a member in the CIS visiting team, having recently being a part of an accreditation team that visited schools internationally.

Best Moment In Teaching

My best moments in teaching are: whenever we danced, laughed or sang together, when my pupils surprise me with their accomplishments, when one of my Y6 pupils earned the International Benchmark Test ‘Award for Excellence’, and when the Arabic B department was rated as Very Good from DSIB. All of the above and much more are one of my beat moments ever!
