I grew up in the South West of Ireland in a beautiful city called Cork. I began my teaching career in London, where I worked for five years before I moved to the UAE in 2016.

I have taught across Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2. Teaching in Year One is a passion of mine as I love the creativity and fun that each day brings.

I adore teaching in Year One in DBS-EH because the children are always so excited and motivated to learn.

The children are always filled with wonderful ideas and I love how imaginative they are. Outside of school I like walking, swimming, going to the beach and reading my book in the sunshine!

Best Moment In Teaching

Meeting one of my favourite authors, Michael Morpurgo, at my old school in London. He came to visit our school as part of his work with 'The Climate Coalition'. We learned about the importance of teaching children about climate change and the future of our planet. It was incredibly inspirational to hear him speak so passionately about caring for our world. It was such a wonderful moment to speak to someone whose books I enjoyed so much as a little girl.
