I am really passionate about teaching and thrive on seeing children grow, learn and succeed. With over a decade of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working in both FS1 and FS2 and enjoyed many leadership roles.

I am originally from a sleepy countryside town in Cheshire and after graduating from Keele University in 2004, I embarked on a new journey and moved to Manchester where I met my husband. After initially starting out on a different career journey in finance, I concluded that teaching was my true passion and decided to switch career paths and complete my PGCE with the University of Sunderland.

I have lived in Dubai since 2008 and I have two wonderful children that have both been a part of the DBS community for quite some time now, having started in the Foundation Stage many years ago.

In my spare time I enjoy going on bike rides with my family, enjoying the lovely Dubai weather, particularly in the winter months. I also like to go scuba diving and at the weekends enjoy going on motorboats out in the Persian Gulf.

The best thing about teaching, particularly in the Early Years, is being with the children as they experience all the awe and wonder moments, for example, a beanstalk growing in the middle of the classroom or an unexplained shoe turning up. It is wonderful to see the children becoming detectives and using their critical thinking skills to solve the mystery! The imagination and collaboration of the children when they are immersed in these moments are truly magical.
