david fenwick 2010Deputy Head of Secondary School - David Fenwick

After a number of years working as a satellite systems engineer David returned to University to undertake a PGCE. For the first six years of his teaching career he taught Physics and Electronics at Alleyn’s School, London before accepting the position of Head of Electronics at Sevenoaks School. During David’s early years at Sevenoaks his focus was on the development of curricular and extra-curricular resources designed to make Electronics accessible to pupils regardless of age or academic background. In 2001 he introduced Electronics as an examination subject to the International Baccalaureate Organisation, and more recently he wrote the Electronics Module for IB Design Technology. His commitment to education in its broadest sense lead him to accept a position of Boarding Housemaster at one of Sevenoaks’ international boarding houses. Having observed pupils in his care grow enormously from their experiences of other cultures David and his family decided to leave the UK in order to fully immerse themselves in an international environment.
