Sonja Welner
 Sonja graduated with a BA Hons in Education in 2002 and began teaching at Church Crookham Junior School in Hampshire. During her four years as a class teacher she took on the responsibility as year group leader, mentoring trainee teachers within the school environment. She also developed Mathematics for Able Children, Arts programmes and as Geography Coordinator revised the curriculum; for which she gained the school an award. Throughout her teaching career she has taken an active role in participating in and leading educational trips including a visit to India and Italy. Having had an international and bilingual childhood she was drawn to teaching outside the UK.
Since joining DBS in 2006 she has been PSHE Coordinator and School Council Leader. She is currently Key Stage 2 Leader.
